Do You Think, or do you just have a busy mind?
When I chose the tag line, ‘Changing You to Change the World’, I wanted to develop a website/blog that would make people really think, and to help them see that they could dream again and accomplish great things with their life.
I have discovered that most people don’t really think. They have a busy mind that is full of ideas, dreams, and chatter that runs around in endless circles in their head, yet they never accomplish 5 percent of those ideas in their life because they never get it out of their head and on paper where they can see it and develop a plan on how to apply it to their life.
Very few people have written goals, no targets to shoot for, no well thought out plans on paper or in a journal to guide them toward their future life. So, five years, ten years, or… a lifetime later, they are still in the same old rut. So, my question to you is, ‘Do you think, or do you just have a busy mind’?
You need to learn how to focus on what you want and really learn how to think.
The first step is to decide what you want. How can you reach your goals if you don’t know what they are? There has to be a target before you can shoot at it. You must gather your thoughts and ideas together, and write them down. There is power in a made up mind.
Set aside some time when you can be alone. Turn off the tv, the computer, your smart phone. This is the most important step in ‘Changing You to Change the World.
I want you to number 5 sheets of paper. 1. Health. 2. Relationships. 3. Wealth/finances. 4. Charity. 5. The Ultimate Life .
Now, this is a very important step.
Take one step at a time and simply write down the first thing that comes to your mind about each topic. There needs to be no order to this. The idea is just to get it out of your head and on paper where you can see it. Just let the thoughts flow quickly and write them down.
Later on we can arrange them in some kind of order and develop a plan to make them work.
For example: Health- I am too fat, to thin. I need to change my eating habits. I need to exercise more. I should get more sleep. I am too stressed. I need to learn how to relax, etc,
Do this with each of the 5 steps. When you are finished give yourself a big High 5,
a pat on the back. The majority of people never get this far.
Now, you are ready to go back and plan some definite goals in each area of you life. Don’t be in a hurry. Step by step, day by day you will begin to see a change in your life.
Here is that question again. Do you think, or do you just have a busy mind? You can change that by changing the way you think.
